When I was twenty, I started hairdressing at a private school in Eindhoven. I worked in several prominent hair salons in Holland before I was spotted by a Keune educator who asked me to join the Keune education team.

This is where I worked there for six years in an international studio where I also participated in various courses on cutting and colouring hair at renown hair studios such as Toni & Guy, Mahogany and Vidal Sassoon, thus enriching myself with knowledge on all the latest cutting and colouring techniques in an ever changing industry.

In 1998, I started giving training, presentations and seminars to Keune hairstylists in the Netherlands and worldwide, and became more and more involved in the testing of newly developed products.

Passion
I love to share my knowledge and skills with hairstylists all over the world. I have worked in more than 28 countries and I am always impressed by the mutual inspiration we generate in the workshops and during shows. Hairstylists all think similarly about our profession, we are on the same wavelength despite the different backgrounds and cultures; we cross all borders. The preparation of events and shows always fuels my creativity. Under pressure I perform better, it demands quick decision making, improvisation, the fusion of hair and fashion and the added pressure of working with other experts."

Inspiration
"Anything can be an inspiration for hair fashion, but I find my inspiration in music, the beautiful structures of nature and in fashion and people."

Freelance career
In February 2005 I started my freelance career as an international stylist / trainer, and also began my own e-magazine called "HUM" on www.hairupdatemagazine.com. Please come and check it out!
